In the first Phase the Team members of VidyaPeeth Prashikshan Sansthan Avam Jan Vikas Samiti have been applying knowledge of the Environmental education through innovative methods, Rain water Harvesting, Skill Development Initiatives, HIV / AIDS Prevention Control, Rural Entrepreneurship Development Program , Nursery Raising and Tree Planting ,Watershed Development, Drinking Water & Sanitation Program, Self-Employment Activities ,Technical Education, Adventure Training ,Training of Youth, Vocation Training Centers & Programs.
We live and do field research in the rural villages of the Uttarakhand. We live the simple lives of the villagers they serve, and tap the human resources of these same villagers to determine the real practical interventions necessary for their economic development. To grasp the aim and impact of VidyaPeeth Prashikshan Sansthan Avam Jan Vikas Samiti work, one must understand the enveloping poverty that exists in the day-to-day life of the people in India's rural mountain villages and border areas. Motive of our society is to enable the disadvantaged section of the society to recognize the importance of their role, initiatives and participate in the process of development and shape their future course accordingly. It is our dream- “To get the people to take the ownership of the development process and creating a strong vibrant and multifaceted society.”

SriDev Suman Uttarakhand University is established as a State University of Uttarakhand vide Sate Government notification No 270/XXXVI(3)/2012/48(1)/2012 dated 19th October, 2012 in continuation to amendment of erstwhile Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Uttarakhand Vishwavidhyalaya Act. 2011 (Uttarakhand Act No 22 of 2011) as notified by State Government vide No 357/XXXVI(3)/201 1/57(1)/2010 dated 4th November, 2011. Sri DevSuman Uttarakhand University Badshahi Thaul is situated on the way between Chamba and New Tehri at a distance of 3 km from Chamba, one of the brightest spots of district Tehri Garhwal, at an elevation of 1676 m from sea level. This town, situated on Delhi-Gangotri national highway, offers one of the most spectacular view of snowcapped Himalaya and enchanting Bhagirathi Valley.
The objectives of the University are to disseminate and advance Knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of Learning as it may deem fit: to make special provision for integrated courses in Humanities. Social Sciences. Science and Technology in its educational programs: to take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching learning process and inter-disciplinary studies and research: to educate and train man power for the development of the State and country: to establish linkages with industries and Research organizations for the promotion of science and Technology in the state: and to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people, their intellectual, academic and cultural development.
